National Talent Search Examination 2019-2020: Applications are invited the intending students studying in class-X for the State Level of National Talent Search (NTS) Examination for the year 2019-2020 sponsored by NCERT, New Delhi.

ABOUT THE NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION 2019-2020 SCHEME:

• The National Talent Search Scheme is a major activity of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). The purpose of the scheme is to identify talented students and nurture their talent on the basis of examination conducted.

SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION 2019-2020:

     a)      About two thousand scholarships are awarded for different stages of education as follows:

     b)      Scholarship of Rs. 1250/- per month for Class XI to XII.

     c)      Scholarship of Rs. 2000/-per month for undergraduates and Post-graduates.

     d)      The scholarship amount of Ph.D. is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.

SELECTION PROCESS OF NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION 2019-2020:

     a)      National Talent Search Examination will be two-stage selection processes for the award of     scholarship

     b)      Stage-I (State Level), the selection will be done by State/UTs and those who qualify Stage-I will be eligible to appear for Stage-II (National Level) examination, conducted by NCERT.

     c)      State level qualifying marks for candidates from General category is 40% in each paper and for candidates from SC, ST, PH is 32% in each paper.

SELECTION TEST PROCESS OF NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION 2019-2020:

     a)      The written examination will be held on 3^rd November 2019 for selection of candidates under the National Talent Search (NTS) Scheme.

     b)      There will be two types of paper.

a.       Paper I- Mental Ability Test (MAT): 100 marks.

b.      Paper II- Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT): 100 marks.

     c)      This is OMR based exam. Marking each item in both tests will give each a mark.

     d)      There will be no negative marking in either of the tests.

RESERVATION PROCESS FOR THE NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION 2019-2020:

     a)      Assam State Quota is 205 nos.

     b)      15% The scholarship will be reserved for students belonging SC category.

     c)      7.5% The scholarship will be reserved for students belonging ST category and

     d)      4% The scholarship will be reserved for Physically Challenged Group of Students.

     e)      27% for the students belonging OBC category (Non-Creamy Layer)

ELIGIBILITY FOR THE NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION 2019-2020:

• Students of Class-X studying in Government, Local Body, Government Aided, Private Schools are eligible to appear in the National Talent Search examination.

EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED FOR NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION 2019-2020:

•              Rs. 250/- per students for General Category.
•               Rs. 200/- per student for SC/ST Category.

HOW TO APPLY & DEPOSIT FEE FOR NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION 2019-2020:

• The application process of the National Talent Search (NTS) Examination has made ONLINE mode only. Applicants will have to pay the examination fee through online debit/credit card online SBI through the website: www.madhyamik.assam.gov.in. The payment gateway on or before 10th October 2019.

GENERATION OF E-ADMIT CARD FOR NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION 2019-2020:

• E-Admit The card will be available online for the candidate. The Candidates can download their admitted card by entering their application form number or name on or after 15 October 2019. If a candidate fails to submit the required information or the required fee, their application will be rejected and no admit card will be issued for them.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION 2019-2020:

• Online Form Start from 1st September 2019
• Last Date of Apply Online is 10^th October 2019
• Date of Examination will be held on 3^rd November 2019 (Sunday)
• E-admit Card will be available from 15^th October 2019 onwards.
